Hi I’m Dan

about me

What do I like doing?

I love playing sports; I run for a club and play hockey too! Also I really enjoy music and I play the Cornet and the electric guitar.

What’s my favourite food?

I love food! I’ll practically eat anything, and everything for that matter. Although I do really like most foods, I’d have to say that my favourite is probably barbeque chicken pizza.

What’s my favourite movie?

This is easy! Without doubt, my favourite movies are the Fast and Furious movies, I love them! It mixes my two favourite types of movies, action with a hint of comedy; there are super fast cars, it’s packed full of action and just about all the other ingredients to what I think is a perfect movie!

Who’s your favourite band or musician?

That’s a toughie! Well, I love rock so I’d probably say its close between Bon Jovi, Guns n Roses and Queen. If I had to give just one I’d probably say Bon Jovi (I’m listening to them right now actually) although, really, I like  a wide range of music from rappers such as Eminem to pop artists like Ed Sheeran.

What’s my favourite animal?

I love dogs! Mainly spaniels and Labradors, I used to have a Springer Spaniel called Ollie, I loved him, he was truly one of a kind, so undoubtedly dogs are my favourite animals.

What is your favourite quote?

I have two favourite quotes and I think that they are very good ways in which we should all live our life: firstly I love Ghandi’s quote, ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’ and this actually inspired me to start doing this blog. Also I love the quote by Walt Disney, ‘If you can dream it, you can do it’, and I think that this is incredibly inspirational!

Why did I start doing this?

Well, the opportunity to apply for the young climate bloggers scheme came up and I simply couldn’t refuse. Climate change is something I have always been passionate about because I think that it is our responsibility to look after the planet and I wanted to take an active approach into doing this. The young climate bloggers scheme acted as the stepping stone I needed in order to help change our world for the better!

Finally, what action will you take to help protect the planet?

As a climate blogger I feel responsible to act as a good role model and to try and help tackle global warming in any way I can. Therefore in addition to doing the best I can in daily life to help protect the planet such as recycling and turning off lights, I also try to do things that will have more of a significant effect, for example I have decided that I will run a sponsored race in order to raise as much money as I can for CAFOD because it’s a brilliant cause.

But the real question is what will you do to protect the world?

  1. Dear Dan,

congratulations on your blog and on your Campaign. I am writing you today to let you know that we like your picture (the one with a man walking with one side desertification and on the other green nature) and we would like to use it for a brochure for the United Nations. It is about human security and building resilience to climate threats. Do you think it is possible? If so who should we credit the picture to?

Thank you and keep up the great work.

    1. Dear Marina
Thank you for showing an interest in my blog and efforts to inform others about climate change. It is great to see that big organisations such as the United Nations are interested in building resilience to climate threats and I hope that we can help to stop climate change and the effects it causes eventually. I believe this photo is originally from: http://www.evogreen.co.uk/2014/03/climate-change/
Again thanks for the interest you have shown and if there is anything else I can help with I would be delighted to.
